PM Aviation Magic Cyclone, 447 Rotax Engine, three blade carbon composite ground adjustable propeller, full instrument set. Type is fully Section S load-tested, as supervised by Dr Brooks and sold from P&M’s Rochdale factory.
Collected new in 2011, totalling over £10,000 (higher spec prop added)from factory, has flown to Isle of Wight and France from East Yorkshire, proven ability to cope with turbulence very well, cruise at 60mph. Lots of pocket storage for sleeping bags etc.
Aircraft installed four stroke motor, but was at weight limit so has now been rebuilt to lighter standard with all new items. Installed new 447 Rotax two stroke aircraft engine, cooling shroud, engine mount, propeller and cable set, and various updates to very latest spec. £3,500 spent; reliable starter, two thirds of the trike is brand new.
Fitted easy de rigging option (with manufacturer assistance) to allow rapid drop of the wing at fly-ins or camping. Cyclone wing is their fastest model with trimmer to cruise at 45-60mph. Top speed bar in of 70mph.
Machine is under the weight limit for Single Seater Deregulated Category ('SSDR') and requires no paperwork other than aiframe log book; pilot requires a microlight licence to fly and pilot logbook.
Typical Insurance cost to me was £250 per year.
Prospective buyer must present a microlight aircraft licence, conscience will not allow sale to person who may harm themselves.
Owner has Engineering Company, microlight licence for twenty years, has awards for mods still flying on larger aircraft.
Good reason for sale, liked it so much, bought another slightly lighter model to be powered by the four stroke engine and still stay under 115kilo limit; two stroke version is well under limit and can have accessories fitted while staying legal.
Prospective buyer welcome to bring inspector with them and weather permitting, a demo flight by owner can be provided. All paperwork and wing bags, manuals etc. in good condition included.
