The aircraft is a delight to fly and is in outstanding condition
Completely restored in 1997, emerging as good as new. Won “Best Vintage Aircraft”, and “Best Restoration” trophies at the PFA (now LAA) Rally. I have photos of the restoration process
TTA 4150hrs, (502 hrs since total rebuild). Continental A65 uprated to 75HP, 1196 hrs since major overhaul. History back to 1941
All-alloy construction with Polyfibre (vinyl) covered wings.
Featured on the front cover of Today's Pilot Magazine of October 2010 and described as a 'Vintage Hot Ship'. The 8-page article has numerous lovely photos of G-AFZN in flight, (though oddly, the words describe a different plane)
Recent new tyres, new batteries, new intercom unit as well as a dash-mounted Garmin Aera 500 GPS. The cockpit is beautifully furnished and comfortable
