- Country: United Kingdom
Based in Old Warden, she is to my knowledge the only KZ-VII in the UK, and one of the very few outside outside Denmark. Built right after the war, “The Seven” (as it is often referred to in Danish) was build for servicing the small Danish islands and to have with a powerful engine and fixed slots very good STOL capabilities. With a landing speed of 55kph (30kts), it will easily operate out of a 200m strip or less and safely cruise at less than 35kts. These are Fieseler Storch numbers and the Swiss consequently referred to it as “Dänische Storch”. OY-ABL with a short field prop especially excels as a “Storch”.
ABL has been with the same owner for the past 14 years, but a lost medical now brings an opportunity for change of ownership.
