Vans RV6. This outstanding example of the best of the Vans RV aircraft was started in 1992 by Andy Phillips. Andy is an engineer by profession, owning Andair Engineering, who make all manner of precision components for the aircraft industry. He completed this RV6 in 1999, and flew it extensively throughout Europe visiting his clients, clocking up 820 hrs.

G-GRIN is fitted with a Lycoming IO-360 A1A engine of 180hp. It is fitted with Airflow Performance mechanical fuel injection, which removes any risk of induction icing that occurs on carburetted engines. The ignition system has one magneto and one Lightspeed electronic unit fitted. Cooling drag is reduced and cooling efficiency increased by the fitting of round cooling inlets mated to "Sam James" plenums fitted to the engine. The propeller is an Aymar Demuth 68x78 with steel leading edges and harmonic damper. A Vetterman exhaust is fitted, and the engine mount has the latest gussets and the gear legs have the composite damping components fitted. The wheel fairings are the Sam James pressure recovery design.
