Share available in either a Piper PA-17 Vagabond, Piper PA-22 Tri-Pacer or Wassmer WA52 Europa operated by the Popham Flying Group.
The Vagabond is a side-by-side two seat taildragger aircraft, 65hp engine maintained on LAA permit. Hourly cost £45/hour (wet).
The Tri-Pacer is a four seat nosewheel aircraft with 160hp engine, good short-field aircraft. Hourly cost £75/hour (wet).
The Europa is a three seat nosewheel glass fibre aircraft with 160hp and CS prop. 120kt cruise speed with good endurance. Hourly cost £75/hour (wet).
The share costs £1850 of which £200 is a joining fee. The monthly cost is £50.
The group is long established and well run with secure finances. Online booking system is used and group meets monthly to discuss group matters. The group accepts low hour PPLs and is an excellent first share (it was my first share).
