I'm a BMAA and LAA Test Pilot, BMAA Check Pilot and Senior Inspector, CAA design and flight test signatory and also a JAA Class Rating Instructor with a Commercial Licence. Experience includes 9 first flights of new homebuilds, test pilot on several prototype, rebuild and research programmes, and flight test manager on just about anything that flies - around 100 types flown, over 60 of them as PiC. I've even got two degrees in aerospace engineering and am a qualified university lecturer for the really difficult questions.

Happy and qualified to do:

- Test flying of all LAA single engined aeroplanes including basic aerobatic and all stall/spin testing.

- Test & check flying of all BMAA 3-axis aeroplanes.

- Instruction for all JAR-FCL and NPPL SEP, SSEA and microlight differences training, recurrency, and type conversion. [Well, nearly all, I'm not currently qualified for flexwings, pressurised cabins, or Lycoming single power levers, and can't do NPPL --> JAR upgrades.]

- BMAA Check Pilot training, or for that matter pretty much any flight test training.

This isn't my fulltime job (which is aviation research), but am available evenings and weekends - mostly I'm based Bucks/Beds/Hants, but happy to take some time and travel for interesting projects.

In particular if you've bought, designed, built or restored a new (or vintage) light or microlight aeroplane and need somebody to lead the test flying, then train you or other pilots up on it - I can do all of that.

I'd best say what I can't do as well: ab-initio instruction, aerobatic instruction, advanced aerobatic flight testing, or anything multi-engine.

I don't have current qualifications for flexwing flying, or CofA aeroplane test flying - both of those will probably change sometime soon.
